Android: Should You Root It or Not

What is Root? What all can I do after rooting? Should I root my device? Is it safe?

These are some FAQ's people ask all over the internet. I will try to answer them the best way I can.

What is Root?

So by definition Root is having the ability to write to the root of the system partition. In simple words Root gives you the power to perform certain tweaks to the software system of your device. It gives you full control over your device.

What all can I do after rooting?

Once you are rooted you can pretty much do whatever you want. Starting from uninstalling the unwanted built in system apps that take up your space, installing some great apps that require root, installing newer version of android that the phone company refuses to provide you and even installing a custom rom to change and make your android more unique.

The apps that require root are actually few testing features which, if work great, are added to the next version of android. Like you needed root to take a screen shot, now it's built in. You also needed root to tether data, but now it's built in too.

So if you want to try out new features and customizations before any average user then rooting is for you.

Should I root my device? Is it safe?

Rooting voids your warranty, and there is a pretty good reason for it. Rooting allows you to go to the core of your android device, where you can perform tweaks and make your device better. This is also the place where if you delete some important file or edit something without knowing what you are doing, you can very well kiss your phone good bye.

Rooting is a personnel choice. If you know what you are doing then you can take the advantage of things android has to offer. If you don't, stay out of it.

If you have decided to root, you should also know there there are different method for different devices. You can google your device model and find a link from xda developers giving you a beginners guide of how to root your device.

App Review: Injustice Gods Among Us

At first I was a bit sceptical if I should play this or not, considering I am not a DC fan at all. But seeing my friends play it and talk about their achievements in it, I decided to give it a try.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is available both in console and mobile devices. I haven't had the opportunity to play this on a console so this would be my review based on what I saw on my android tab.

There are various 3 on 3 battles which will level you up and earn some coins to buy items from the store.
The character store houses variety of DC heroes and villians sorted into bronze, silver and gold cards. There are also various support cards available for each character.

There are both offline and online mode. The online challenges are a set of battles for limited days which can get you characters that you won't find in the character store.

Graphics are awesome and has the traditional swipe and tap control scheme.

The only thing is that it does not have the feature to sell the character which you do not need. Its not much of a problem but is a bit annoying.

I recommend this game to even the non-DC fans as it sure has made me one.

Hope they bring a Marvel vs DC...
