Connecting PS3 Controller To Android Device

Android is now filling up with many good games. Some feel awkward playing with a on screen controls. Such games are made to be played with a controller. A PS3 controller is a great option. It lets you play with a familiar pattern of buttons and is much better than on screen buttons.

REQUIRMENTS:-

• Android Device ( 3.0 and above. )
• USB OTG Cable
• Mini USB Cable

NON-ROOTED DEVICES:-

Connect the controller to the device using the mentioned cables. Press home button. That should enable the controller and now you can scroll around your home screen. That's it. Now you can play any supported game using the controller.

You can't play wireless unless you are rooted.

ROOTED DEVICES:-

To play wireless you need to download an app called Sixaxis Controller. It is paid app but worth the price. Use it to pair the controller via bluetooth. Download the app from here.

App Review: Asphalt 8

Asphalt 8 is a racing franchise by Gameloft. During the launch of the game, it was paid in both iOS and Android. I have a Nexus 7 on which I installed this game at the time of it's launch. I have played Asphalt 7 on my iPad and was pretty satisfied with it. It was the best racing game. By playing Asphalt 8, my views have changed completely.

The game has different type of modes and events to play. Starting from career to multi player to weekly events. In career mode we have 8 different seasons with 4 different types of races and many cars as well. I have completed all the seasons and find myself hungry for more. Using multi player we can race in real time with friends or anyone around the world. There are also weekly events from which we can get special cars.

For controls there are also 4 options but personally I prefer playing using my PS3 controller. There is little lag but doesn't affect my overall gameplay.

Asphalt 8 is the best racing game on all mobile platform. I recommend this to all the racing fans, trust me it won't let you down. There can be a little lag if you have mid-range specs, but you can change the graphics quality to suit your device.

Connecting A PS3 Or XBOX Controller On A Windows PC

Playing on a PC is not as good experience as on Consoles. Let's face it, you can't play the best of games with keyboard and mouse. Recently I installed Assasin's Creed on my Laptop and played it with my PS3 controller without any lag or other issues. Just connect your Laptop to your TV and it feels as if you own a Ps3 and are playing on it. The best thing is you don't have to buy an additional device to play games on.

REQUIREMENTS

• A PC with bluetooth ( for without bluetooth, you can buy a bluetooth dongle)
• XBOX or PS3 Controller

XBOX

If you have a wired XBOX controller, simply connect it with your PC and install the driver to play.

If you have a wireless XBOX controller you will need to purchase a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Adapter ( roughly $20 ). This adapter allows you to connect the controller to your PC.


PS3

For a PS3 controller, you will need a application called Better DS3, using which you can connect your controller wirelessly without any adapter.
